How To Use Your Primary Care

You have direct access to a primary care provider through your Health Access Benefit. Your provider can help you manage ongoing health conditions, prescribe medication, send orders for labs and imaging, and much more. Go to your primary care provider for your routine medical needs.

Having a primary care provider is the key to your total health solution. Not only will your primary care provider keep you and your family healthier, but they will save you money on health care costs over time.

Selecting a Primary Care Provider

When you are ready to begin using a primary care provider, you have several options, all of which are included in your Health Access Benefit.

First, your plan may include a primary care provider that your employer selected for you. If so, you will find their information included in your digital membership packet.

Second, your plan may be part of our Any DPC program, which means you can select any direct primary care provider you would like and submit the bill each month to be reimbursed just like with your preventive care services. A direct primary care provider delivers services offered by physicians and nurse practitioners with a simple flat fee membership. You can find out if your plan is part of the Any DPC program and see your maximum allowable amount in your digital membership packet.

Last, everyone can keep their existing primary care provider, even if they are not a direct primary care provider, with no network limits. You can see any provider you would like and get reimbursed for multiple Annual Wellness visits per year. You can find your maximum allowable amounts in your digital membership packet.

How Do I Begin Using My Primary Care Provider?

If you are choosing a new direct primary care provider, you’ll begin by scheduling an initial patient consultation with them at your earliest convenience. Once you've had your initial patient consultation, your primary care provider will be able to help you manage your routine medical needs, such as writing prescriptions and ordering lab work. Primary Care Keeps You Healthy

Primary Care Saves You Money
