The Health Access Preventive is made up of three key pieces that work together to provide you and your family with quality health care that is both affordable and convenient. These three pieces are your primary care, prescriptions, and reimbursements for basic wellness services.

Health Access Cooperative: Support for Major Medical Events

The Health Access Cooperative is your safety net for larger, unforeseen medical expenses. It operates on a cooperative model, focusing on member needs rather than profits. Here's how it works:

  • Per-Incident Member Portion: For each significant medical event, you pay a predetermined amount (e.g., $1,000, $2,500, or $4,000), after which the cooperative covers the remaining eligible expenses.
  • No Network Restrictions: Choose any provider without worrying about in-network limitations.
  • Self-Pay Discounts: As a self-pay patient, you may access significant discounts, sometimes up to 80% off standard rates.

This approach ensures you receive necessary care without the high premiums and deductibles associated with traditional insurance.

Coordinating Your Membership Benefits

It’s important to understand when to use each part of your membership. In summary, you’ll use your Health Access Preventive for services like: regular health maintenance, preventive screenings and tests, routine prescriptions and wellness services.

While you’ll use your Health Access Cooperative membership for services such as: emergency room visits, surgeries or hospitalizations, maternity care and other significant medical events.
