Through your preventive care component of your Health Access Benefit, you can get reimbursed for a wide-range of preventive medical services such as dental cleanings, vision exams, flu shots, and much more. We are excited to announce another new enhancement starting November 1, 2022, that makes it even easier to receive your reimbursement payments. Here’s what you need to know.
How Preventive Care Works
Getting reimbursed is as simple as snapping a picture of your bill and submitting it for reimbursement right from your phone. Here’s all that you need to do:
- Visit the provider of your choice as a self-pay patient.
- Submit a photo of your itemized receipt for reimbursement. View the complete list of eligible services and reimbursement maximums for 2022 here or for 2023 here.
- Receive up to $8,500 per year in reimbursements for Preventive Care (starting January 2023).
Easier Reimbursement Options
We have heard from a number of members recently that direct deposit would be their preferred way of receiving reimbursement, while others prefer to receive a physical check in the mail. The good news is that we will now be able to provide a payment solution that works for everyone!
Starting November 1, 2022, you can use our secure payment provider (called Checkbook) to receive your preventive reimbursements in one of three ways:
- Direct Deposit (ACH)
- e-Check (Print & Deposit)
- Physical check via US Mail
NOTE: You will receive an email from Checkbook to securely choose your method of payment after your reimbursement request has been processed by Health Access Solutions.
